“The Pink Panther Strikes Again”
TRY OUTS: Wednesday and Thursday, August 10 and 11, at 7:00 p.m. at the River City Playhouse, 127 Lake Street (across from the Post Office) in Ilwaco. (Actual performance dates are in October.)
We need many, many actors for our next comedy/mystery performance! The script calls for 20 men and 15 women, but we can be flexible on the gender or double up on some of the parts.
Stage hands, costumers, cookie pushers and ticket takers also needed.
In other words: Whether acting on the stage, or helping behind the scenes, there’s definitely a spot for YOU!
Time is running out! The Ocean Park Lutheran Church’s Annual Mystery Dinner Theater is THIS WEEK ONLY! All tickets are $20 and must be purchased in advance. A front table for 6 is available for $150. Call 360-665-6344 to reserve your space for Wednesday, 7/27, Thursday, 7/28 or Friday, 7/29. Although this is not a “Peninsula Players’ Production,” there are many familiar faces in the cast and we heartily support all community theater. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to “Rebuilding Together.”
The 2011 Peninsula Players’ One-Act Festival selections have been chosen.
Five local playwrights will see their work “hit the boards” on August 26, 27 and 28. Auditions were completed June 28, and the casts are now all in place, with rehearsals starting soon.
The annual One-Act Festival encourages theater “newbies” to get involved, whether to write, direct, act, or help out backstage. Experienced playhouse personnel are on hand to help these neophytes learn the hows and whats of the theater, and a good time is certain to be had by all.

Festival tickets are just $5, and all five shows will play on all three performance dates. What a great time to come check out the new River City Theater in Ilwaco! Be sure to get your tickets early, as these shows sell out fast!
